​2017 Wedding Trends

​2017 is here and, for some brides, it is time to start that wedding planning. For the trendy brides, this post is here to tell you what trends are in this year. Lynsey Eidell, of Glamour Magazine writes about the top “10 Hottest Wedding Trends of 2017.” These are our top picks from the ten:

 
1. Translucent Cakes:
Wedding cakes that are unfrosted on the sides, also known as Naked Cakes, are the newest trend. For the bride who wants less frosting and a hip cake for her wedding the naked cake is for you.
 
2. Raw Vocals:
Live entertainment instead of a DJ is the music trend this year. More brides are opting out of having DJs at their weddings and are hiring the real talent. It is a sure thing to entertain your guest.
 
3. Hiring an Illustrator:
Instead of having a typical photo booth, hire your local Illustrator to draw your guests. This makes the experience more personal and you can help a local artist out! You could also hire a photographer to let your guest have his or her own personal photo shoot.
 
4. Fuzzy Butts:
This year is all about the animals. Whether it is your dog, cat, pig, horse, etc., the sky is the limit for the different kinds of animals to have at your wedding. This would fit your rustic barn-wedding theme no problem!
 
5. Metallic Dresses:
You might not think of metallic when it comes to your wedding dress, but in 2017, metallic dresses are the new trend. Gold and silver beading throughout your dress might just be what your have been missing for your wedding. 6. Inviting Nature To The Wedding:
Even if you are having your ceremony or reception indoors, bring the outdoors in. you can bring potted trees, shrubbery, flowers, vines inside and incorporate them in your decor. Just having wood and stone on your tables will bring your wedding even more to life.
 
7. Food Trucks:
Instead of having the normal seated or buffet style dinner, hire your local food truck to supply your guest the food. This gives your guest a unique and unforgettable experience to remember from your wedding day.
 
8. Allowing Technology Into The Wedding:
In 2017, the latest trend is image mapping onto your cake. Imagine mapping is a new projection technology that can project moving lights or pictures on to your cake. This is just another way to entertain your guest and to make you look more technology driven.
 
This year is filled with new and excited trends to enhance your wedding day even more and to have more entertainment for your guests. If you are a trendy bride, then consider those options for your wedding.
