Most people fear that number because after all nobody wants to be in debt after their marriage. Here are some tips on how to budget for your upcoming big day! It is always good to start early. Months prior to the wedding talk with your fiancé and family members about the big picture. Know what you want to buy and when you want to buy it. Randomly buying items can lead to over spending which is not good. Figure out which parts of the wedding are most important to you and put the most money towards that. On your big day it is important to surround yourself with the ones you love, but cutting the guest list down can reduce the cost of the wedding. Having a reduced guest list saves the costs of food, party rental expenses, and favors. Not only will this save money it will make the day more special for you because you will be with individuals who are very close to you like close family and best friends, instead of people such as co-workers and distant relatives. There is money to be saved when guest RSVP too. Have guest RSVP via an app or website, this will save paper and postage. During your wedding, skip the bread basket. It will save hundreds on the total bill and your guest will eat more of the main meal. In addition to saving on food you should negotiate the cost of kids meals, caters will usually drop these prices dramatically. Waiting for items to go on sale is important. This can be key from anything to your wedding gown or buying tablecloths. Think long and hard about every decision you make for something pertaining to the wedding.
