What do you sell?
We have great selection of bridal dresses in the Philadelphia, Delaware County and surrounding areas. We also sell mothers/evening dresses. Wedding dresses that are ordered can take up to 4-6 months for delivery. Mother/evening dresses ordered can take up to 2-3 months. We have off the rack bridal and mothers/evening dresses available, also.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, there is a payment plan available for bridal dresses only. Bridal dresses can be paid in four installments. Please ask your bridal consultant.
What should I bring with me?
It is not necessary to bring anything with you, but you may want to bring several bras or a body shaper, such as Spanx with you to try on dresses. If you'd like to wear a specific shoe, you may want to bring it with you. We do not carry shoes or undergarments.
What are your wedding dress prices?
Wedding dresses range from $500 - $3,500. The majority of the dresses are $1,400 - $1,800. Mother/evening dresses range from $300-$600.
Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
Appointments are required for ALL services. Dress purchases, dress pick-ups, accessories and alterations require an appointment. We like to assign a stylist to work with you. You can make an appointment here.
Do you have a professional seamstress to alter the dresses?
Yes, alterations are available by appointment only. If you'd like to schedule your fitting, please call us to make an appointment at 610-566-5680. Alteration appointments ARE NOT made on the website. Alteration charges are not included in your dress purchase and are separate. Bridal fittings should be scheduled at least three months before the wedding, but rush alterations are available. Alterations can be performed on dresses not purchased at The Dress Matters for a small fee. Rush fees apply to bridal dresses not started 8 weeks or more prior to the date needed. Rush fees apply to other dresses not started 6 weeks or more prior to the date needed.
Do you accept returns?
All dresses and accessories are final sale and no returns are accepted. This is standard in the wedding industry. If an accessory is damaged, we will exchange it for a new item.
Do you charge for appointments?
For bridal customers, we require a fee of $30 for appointments. The fee is applied to the dress purchase only. If additional appointments are made, up to $60 will be applied toward a purchase. For other appointments, a credit card is required to book the appointment. You are not charged. A fee of $30 will be applied for no-shows and cancellations done less than 24 hours before the appointment.
