There are many common wedding venues. These venues include a church, house, park, restaurant, hotel, country club, and beach. If you are looking to change things up on your big day a barn wedding might be for you. The barn’s environment will play a major part in the décor and elements of the wedding. A barn wedding could sound very nice with a cool evening, surrounded by friends and family in an unique environment. Minor setbacks could be an insect problem, lack of bathrooms, and planning for precipitation. Fireflies could be romantic, but bug bites are definitely not. Prior to the wedding get lots of citronella candles and put them around the outside of the barn. Also, keep bug spray handy in the restrooms and the entrance to the barn. The farm that you choose to host your wedding may not have the plumbing to handle over ten guest. To avoid people from going outside or having to walk a mighty distance it may be smart to rent bathroom trailers. These are not portable bathrooms, more of luxury trailers. As your guest arrive to the wedding, they will be impressed. Getting these bathrooms will potentially cost you a few thousand dollars. The weather can be very unpredictable, before wedding invest in color-coordinated umbrellas. In addition, barn weddings should be in the summer and having fans will make guest feel more comfortable. A barn is not the largest venue. Most can't hold more than 135 guest, but you should communicate with the farm where you plan to have your wedding. A barn is a truly great place to have your big day!
