In 2017, bridal showers are more than just opening gifts and only inviting your women friends and family. Bridal showers this year are getting more creative and entertaining for you and your guests. Simone Hill from The Knot wrote an article about “Our Favorite Bridal Shower Ideas.” These are our favorites from that list: 1. Wine Tasting Bridal Shower:
You could choose to have a wine professional come to your location for the bridal shower or have your bridal shower at a winery. You could also use the year you and your fiancé started dating as a theme for the wine. 2. Charity Bridal Shower: Instead of your guest bring gifts; your guest can bring a donation, canned food, or old clothing to donate to a charity. There is also websites for your registry to add a charity donation to your registry. 3. Honeymoon Bridal Shower: Wherever you are going on your honeymoon, make that destination your theme to your bridal shower. Also, have your guest bring gifts that will benefit your honeymoon. Have fun with it! 4. Pot Luck Bridal Shower: A good money shaver would be to have your guest bring their favorite dish or a certain theme dish instead of getting a caterer. They can also bring the recipe of the dish for the bride. 5. Destination Bridal Shower: If you really want to do something different, having your bridal shower in another state or country would be unique. 6. Couple’s Shower: This is my personal favorite because this allows everyone in your family and friends to enjoy the day with you, not just the women. Men and women should be able to celebrate with you at your bridal shower. 7. Pool or Beach Bridal Shower: If you know someone with a pool willing to let you have the shower at his or her house, then that would be entertaining for your guest. For the beach, you could find a restaurant or venue on or near the beach and do it through them. You could even combine a couple of these into one bridal shower, for example, a potluck and couples bridal shower. This is just another aspect of your wedding where you can get even more creative.
