Miami Image Credit All being well you only get married once. So you want to do it right. Which is why many brides-to-be choose to get married abroad or have a ‘destination’ wedding, in a city that isn’t their own. And with the choice of mountains, vineyards, barns, or beaches, there is plenty of choices to choose from. So here are some of the most popular destination wedding cities from all around the world; is there one that you’d love for your wedding? Miami, Florida
With gorgeous weather nearly all year round, plus stunning beaches and places like the Coral Gables Country Club, it is easy to see why many people choose to get married in Miami. If you want sunshine and some seriously beautiful wedding photographs, then Miami means you get a feel of the Caribbean, without having to leave the country. Samara, Costa Rica If you are looking for a completely unspoiled landscape for your wedding, or even getting married in a rainforest or on the edge of a volcano, then Costa Rica can be a great destination. There are lots of nature reserves in the area too, so can be a fun and exciting place to stay afterwards to make your honeymoon an adventure too. Riviera Maya, Mexico If you are looking for a mix of Mexican and the Caribbean, then the stretch of the Yucatan Peninsula combines the ancient Mayan architecture with palm trees and jungle, to give your wedding a really exotic feel. You can even have weddings near Mayan villages, so could be a lovely nod to family history or your ancestry if they hail from that region. Bar Harbor, Maine Dark blue waters, lighthouses aplenty, and a rugged coastline could be just the things if you’re looking for a sweet but stunning wedding destination. New England, and Maine in particular, does have a feel of europe about it, and is the epitome of seaside chic. A perfect destination for seafood lovers and adventurers. Park City, Utah Even if you don’t want a winter wedding, the world-famous ski resort city would make a great location for a wedding. Of course, during the winter months, the high mountain peaks covered on soft white snow will look super dreamy. But even during summer, when the area is much quieter, the green mountains look lush and lovely; a perfect backdrop for a wedding. Las Vegas, Nevada It may seem a little cliche, but getting married in Las Vegas is still a really popular choice. If you want a low-key wedding, there are plenty of options for you, as well as plenty of the luxury hotels offering wedding packages too. You’re pretty much guaranteed sunshine in Vegas! Amalfi Coast, Italy The backdrop for your wedding would be the stunning Amalfi coast, which would make for some pretty epic wedding photographs. There are breathtaking cliff tops, as well as beautiful beaches. Not to mention the food! Oia, Santorini If you are after a ‘Mama-Mia’ style Greek wedding, then Santorini is a stunning island to visit. The crisp white buildings offset with the deep blue of the sea and sky will make way for some truly amazing wedding photos. The Greek culture can be a fun thing to incorporate into the wedding too; smashing plates, anyone?
