Getting Your Hubby To Evoke Some Sense Of Style On Your Big Day (When He Normally Doesn’t Care)11/23/2018 While the hallmarks of a successful wedding can be down to the majority of the bride’s getup, if we want it to be cohesive in a stylistic manner, we've got to give as much attention to the groom. Now, for those who have fashionably conscious partners, the issue of fashion is not so much of a dilemma, but when you've got a group that's not particularly well versed in all things fashion, today is the most important opportunity for them to look immaculate- after all, you're going to be looking at these pictures years from now. So if you've got a hubby that's not particularly stylish, what can we do to get them up to speed and into the right suit? Smart Or Casual? If it's too smart, they won't look that natural. If it's too casual, then you're running the risk of them turning up in something not too different to their normal getup. When it comes to the occasion, ensuring that their suit works with the overall theme is essential. This means that you've got to make the decision- tie, bowtie, or nothing? Generally, it's accepted that a bow tie works great, but if it makes them look like a magician, then you're going to have to rethink this! Neckties can work, just as long as it's a knitted pattern. Instead of it just being a standard black tie that has no character to it, make it something a bit more special, and have the colors match a flower, for example. And if your significant other doesn't know how to tie a necktie, then the temptation could be to go for a clip-on, but these look particularly tacky! Tailor It (Swiftly)! There is nothing more unflattering than a suit that doesn't match the contours of your hubby. This has to be perfect, and this means you've got to make a few visits to the tailor to ensure they've got it just right. You can go overboard with this, but as long as your partner hasn't gained or lost a significant amount of weight in the run-up to the wedding, the tailor can do a great job! If you’ve got a partner that doesn't particularly care about what sort of suit they wear, they could easily go for something cheap, but cheap suits hang off the body, rather than cling nicely to the contours. It's worth investing a little bit more money for something that looks immaculate for the big day. If you've got a hubby that doesn't particularly care what they have to wear for the big day, this means that you can take advantage of this, but you want him to be pleased with the outfit at the end of the day. If style isn't their thing, you could suggest almost anything, but for the big day itself, it's all about making sure everything fits perfectly. Yes, the attention may be on you and your dress, but if you're looking to create the perfect occasion, you have to make sure that everything works in tandem.
