How to Choose Jewelry to Match Your Wedding Day Look

Your wedding day is a day when you say yes to a new life with the one you love. Therefore, it’s important to make sure everything goes smoothly. Planning the outfit, booking the venue and organizing the guest list are big tasks, and they require a lot of effort. After you take care of these things, it’s time to plan your makeup, hair and jewellery.

Jewelry plays a big role in your wedding day look, and hence, you should make sure to choose something that will complement your outfit and make you look great. So for that reason, here are some tips that will help you choose the best pieces that will go well with your wedding outfit.

1. Don’t go overboard

Sometimes, it’s easy to get carried away and choose more than one piece of jewellery. Even though there’s nothing wrong with it, wearing too many accessories can look a bit flashy, and sometimes even tacky. The reason for that lies in the fact that wearing too many jewellery pieces can upstage your wedding attire. So, make sure to compare different pieces and always try them with your wedding dress to see if there are any discrepancies.

2. Match the textures

If you can’t decide on which type of jewelry to go for, that’s not a big deal. The market is filled with beautiful pieces, and sometimes picking between silver, rose gold, platinum and yellow gold can be a bit of a challenge. In that case, the wisest decision would be to match the jewelry with the color and texture of your wedding dress. For example, if your dress is white, feel free to pair it with silver or platinum gold pieces, as that will give your wedding look a very wholesome and elegant vibe.

3. Take your time when making a choice

When choosing the jewellery for your wedding day, it’s essential to give yourself time, so you’ll be able to make the right choice. Also, keeping the jewellery highlighted will create a unique look that will be balanced and well-coordinated. If you’re struggling with choosing the perfect pieces, you can shop at moonmagic.com as they have amazing offers that will be perfect for a bride-to-be. Besides, remember that it’s always better to opt for a one single piece that will elevate your look, than to buy a few different things that will make you look a bit messy at the end.

4. Don’t mix different metals

Since there are so many amazing offers to look at, it’s understandable if you can’t decide on one particular color, keep in mind that mixing different metals is a big no, especially if you’re aiming at elegant and subtle appearance. If you must mix them together, then make sure to choose maximum two metals, because anything more than that can spoil the whole look. If your wedding attire has gentle pink undertones, going with rose gold jewelry will go great with the rest of your look. Similarly, a champagne creamy colored wedding gown will look amazing with yellow gold jewelry as it will accentuate your natural beauty without adding any unnecessary details that will draw the attention away from you.

Choosing the perfect jewelry is the fun part of organizing your wedding look, which is why you should go for pieces that will truly elevate your final wedding day look. If possible, stay away from wearing too many pieces, especially if your wedding dress is already very detailed to begin with. Finally, keep in mind that less is always more, because subtle elegance will always look better than mixing different colors and textures in one single outfit.

I really liked what you said about using two metals together. I'm trying to pick my wedding jewelry, and I'd like to get something understated. I'm a big fan of rose gold and silver, so I'll have to look for pieces that incorporate that.
