While many love to get married on New Year's Eve, how about doing something a little out of the box as you get out of 2015. Cynthia Pesce, the general manger of the Inn at New Hyde Park, has three ideas you still have time to execute before your News Year's Eve wedding. 1. Timing is everything. Be sure not to start too early on New Years Eve. You want the party to be rocking when the ball drops. Cocktail hour at 8:30pm is a perfect start time. Then, you will be in the middle of a great dance set when the ball drops, with still plenty of time to celebrate. 2. Décor can be elegant and fun. A Gatsby wedding theme is extremely festive. Incorporating feathers and pearls into the design, along with beautiful floral pieces will set the stage for elegance and a fun celebration. 3. A photo booth with a guest book, but not an ordinary guest book, is a way to capitalize on the New Years Eve themed wedding. A New Years resolution book is fun and can give you a reason to keep in touch with all your guests! You can check in with them to see if they are keeping their resolutions! Photo booths generally print out two copies of each photo. One can go into the resolution book with their resolution next to their photo. (Garter belts, berets, pearls, feathers, arm bands, and more are different then your usual New Years Eve giveaways and fun for the photo booth too!)
