Image Credit The chances are that unless you are a wedding planner by trade, you don't know much about picking, organizing, or dressing a venue so that it's perfect for your big day. Don't panic though, because it is something you can learn all about by reading our detailed post below. Picking a venue
Before you can do anything else, you have to pick the right place to have your wedding. Some wedding venues have the option to host the ceremony as well as the reception, while others cater just for the later part. Although the latter choice isn't too much of an issue if you are planning to have the service in a church, temple or other religious building as you can just move on for the celebration later. However, something that it can cause issues and must be considered carefully before booking a venue is the number of people it can hold. This is because it will dictate how long your guest list can be, and as well all know that some people can be a bit funny about not getting invited, this is a crucial decision. You also need to ask the venue about their pricing structure and whether the cost is per head, and if they have additional room and exclusivity charges. You should also inquire about whether they will allow you to organize some elements yourself, or require you to work with approved vendors. The organization of the venue This is the stage that comes after picking and booking the place that you will have your wedding, and the wedding day itself. In fact, it is usually the stage that is the most difficult because you have to liaise with those at the venue to ensure that your wishes are fulfilled for the day. With many different elements to see to including flowers, decoration, seating plans and the like to be managed it can be pretty complicated too. To help you manage this part successfully, it is worth knowing that great wedding venues often have a resident coordinator that you can deal with. They then listen to your wishes and can relate this information back to all the independent vendors, so you don't end up pulling your hair out before the big day. Dressing the venue Lastly, the day of the wedding or just before is the time when the tables, chairs, and decorations need to be set up. If you are doing these yourself it's better to try and get in the night before, so you are free the day of the wedding, After all, you will have enough on your plate, and you won't want to stress yourself out or be strapped for time come the big day. However, if you have a professional decorating company, or your venue is taking care of this aspect of the day, it is more about making sure that the everyone has the information and payment they need to complete their tasks. The latter choice usually being one that is less stressful, and so is advisable to pick if you want to have the most successful and enjoyable wedding day possible.
