Wedding Proposal

One of the most memorable moments in a woman’s life comes from the day that the person she loves proposes. Being asked to be a wife is a step up from girlfriend and it’s a big deal that comes with a lifetime commitment. The proposal that you put on for the woman of your dreams is one that she will remember for the rest of her life, so with that in mind, you need to make it as memorable as possible. It’s a nerve-wracking moment that you’ll all remember for the remainder of your life, and often the way you propose can have an impact on the wedding of your dreams.

Creating a wonderful proposal will take some time, some thought and a lot of courage, so check out the four tips below that will make your proposal something that you will both remember for the rest of your lives.

A Meaningful Place

This is going to differ for every couple: the meaningful place for one couple will not be the same for another. Perhaps the place that you find the most meaningful is the cat food aisle at the grocery store, because that’s where you met. Take your person to the place that holds the most love and joy for you both and give that place even more meaning than it already has. While she’s completely buried in memories, it’s likely that she won’t see a proposal coming.

Choose Rings Together

A lot of couples choose shop for jewellery together, and it doesn’t always mean that a proposal is on the way. Taking her to the jewellery store of choice and tell her that you’d like an idea of what she would like for the future; the earlier you know, the longer you have to save, that kind of thing. She may choose a silicone wedding ring because it would mean more to her to know that you’ve saved your cash, or she could choose a platinum 3-carat affair with amazing clarity that she loves. You could pop the question right there and then; there is no way that she will expect you to propose in that moment in time.

Reinvent A Movie Scene

What’s her favourite romcom? Most women love a good chick flick and the romcoms in the world often have over the top romantic proposal scenes. Sift through her collection and where your budget and your time allows, recreate the scene that’s her favourite. Get her friends involved if you must and make it a huge surprise!

Be Spontaneous

As a complete contrast to the above point, you could go for complete simplicity and propose over a takeout Chinese meal on the couch. You don’t have to go all out, you can do the thing you love to do the most together: even if that’s snuggling down under a blanket to watch a movie. It’s a moment just between you, and she will never forget it.
A proposal is personal to a couple: think about it carefully and make it work for you.
